This exercise gives a step-by-action tutorial for how to make an origami hexagon. It is connected to the James Webb Place Telescope’s principal mirror which is composed of 18 tessellating hexagons. College students can operate separately or in groups to fold the hexagons, then attach them alongside one another to create a illustration of the telescope’s key mirror. Down load the exercise or follow the video tutorial. Click on listed here for the comprehensive classroom useful resource.
