Miranda Kerr, Evan Spiegel pay student loans for California graduates
Snap Inc. CEO Evan Spiegel and entrepreneur-supermodel Miranda Kerr paid out off the university student personal debt for a California faculty graduating class of 2022.
The donation “will permit for the compensation of the excellent pupil financial debt of learners in the graduating Class of 2022,” Otis College of Art and Design reported in a statement Sunday.
Spiegel and Kerr, who married in 2017, identified as the faculty “an remarkable institution that encourages young creatives to locate their creative voices and prosper in a range of industries and careers,” in the assertion. Spiegel previously took lessons at the college, and he and Kerr received honorary degrees at the school’s commencement ceremony on Sunday.

The donation was announced throughout the college’s commencement ceremony, and video clip of the graduation shows college students clapping and cheering.

Charles Hirschhorn, the college’s president, advised the graduates that the faculty understands college student financial debt “can compromise your long term and restrict your inventive ambitions. We do not want to see this come about. We want to empower your creativity, your creativity and innovation.”
