TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas’ university board suspended the state’s top community college administrator Friday about an offensive general public comment about Indigenous People, rejecting the resignation he submitted soon after the governor and indigenous leaders demanded it.
Education Commissioner Randy Watson will be suspended for 30 times without the need of spend, starting Monday. The 10-member elected Condition Board of Instruction appoints the commissioner to run the State Department of Training.
