Racial stereotypes drive students of color away from STEM, but many persist

Via my investigation, I’ve occur to see that—for Black and Hispanic STEM students—these circumstances of becoming stereotyped are pretty frequent. For that reason, these learners encounter a form of racial fatigue. No issue what they do, they can’t shake the notion between particular white colleagues and collaborators that they will not belong.

As a consequence, several proficient Black and Hispanic college students depart STEM. Investigation shows that Black and Hispanic college students go away the discipline at just about twice the charge of white learners.
